Re: UV Processing

Hi Peter, I don't have much experience with UVEX, which I've only used a few times on my RC12, especially in the UV section, A few things to check: - With regard to the telescope, it seems to me that a CDK has lenses and that this can therefore affect transmission in the near-UV range below 400nm (t...

Re: POLARIMETER DEVICE PROJECT

Hola Joan, I think the page you are referring to on LISA in polarimetric spectro is this one: http://www.astrosurf.com/buil/polar4/ Of course, the Zeeman effect isn't measured in this case, so it's accessible at low resolution, but on luminous targets because the variations to be measured are of the...

Re: POLARIMETER DEVICE PROJECT

Hello Joan I don't know which of Christian's pages you're referring to, but to do spectropolarimetry you need to use a high-resolution spectrograph (> R=20000) to see the Zeeman effect, for example. And you need to be able to turn the 1/4-wave plate during acquisition to obtain various polarization ...

Great spectrum Tom !!!!
and a challenge to make its spectrum when it's very low on the horizon.

we'd love to have the same astro show on French TV channels....

In any case, it was a very good collaboration between amateurs and professionals, and the responsiveness of the amateurs showed that it was important.

Hello Tom,

a very good follow-up to this Sn!!!
We don't have very good weather in Chile right now (the 45-day bad weather period is underway..).
