Hi Terry,
Nice work. Like you, I also managed some simultaneous photometry last night. I used my transformed V-band image in ISIS to create a flux calibrated version similar to yours. I think it serves to provide a useful comparison.
Cheers,
Paul

Viewing additional CALSPEC data in ISIS
Has anyone successfully viewed additional CALSPEC profiles (available from http://www.stsci.edu/hst/observatory/crds/calspec.html) in ISIS?
I'm receiving the "not a valid 1D FITS file" message when I've tried to load a couple of examples.

Re: ISIS - specifying Object Name for Simbad & AOD
I've discovered a work around. I noticed that when the SIMBAD look up fails, ISIS presents a dialogue asking to continue using some arbitrary coordinates. I noticed that the coordinates it suggests are identical to what the last values are in the heliocentric correction dialogue. So just by entering...

Re: Bright nova in Centaurus
Thanks Olivier and Etienne, The challenge with this nova is the stormy weather (it's winter in Australia). I've had to open the hatch of my observatory a little bit to take some spectra when the clouds clear, and then be prepared to close up quickly before the next shower. It keeps me on my toes. Paul

ISIS - specifying Object Name for Simbad & AOD
I've run into issue when trying to specify an object name in ISIS in order for the Auto Atmosphere / AOD function to access SIMBAD. How does one do this for objects that don't exist in SIMBAD, e.g. novae? I've tried specifying a star close to the target of interest, which works - except the FITs hea...

Re: Bright nova in Centaurus
Confirmed (instrument response corrected version coming later). The next week's forecast for me is rain, hopefully others can follow up in the coming days.
