possible galactic nova asassn-22hw

Post by Hamish Barker »

Asassn-22hw
RA / DEC
13:24:31.296 -72:10:29.86

Looks rather like the U sco profile in terms of multi-peaked H alpha and beta profiles. FWHM circa 2000km/s. I can't get isis to measure it properly, either I'm doing it wrong or the multi peak thing is giving it trouble.

A spectrum taken with an Alpy 600 from Chile in automatic observation (no human intervention).

Sorry for the delay

Hamish: for work on the spectra, I wouls suggest PlotSpectra (Tim Lester)

Another spectrum last night. As expected, further decline of the continuum making to the emission in features appear relatively stronger. I don't see the same dramatic changes of peaks to the h alpha profile as we have seen on the latest u sco outburst.

Here is my contribution

Taken on Monday evening. Taken with a UVEX 600 lines/mm centred roughly on H gamma. Those emissions are pretty fat!

I have now also joined the group and took a spectrum last night. Taken with my LISA R=1500
