According this alert :
http://cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/foll ... 37160.html
Our first raw spectrum taken at the moment with an eshel spectrograph from Chile.
We stay on this target until the end of the night
For the name of this target can we call it : Nova Sco 2023 or PNV J17224490-4137160 ?

Congratulations to 2SPOT for a job well done, from another southern hemisphere (Australia) eShel observatory.
Unfortunately this nova is not visible to me until very late at night.
Unfortunately, my weather is all cloud, or rain, these days so It is a case of 'If I could, I would, but I can't'.

Hello Hamish,
The H Alpha order is the bright and broad line at the bottom of the spectrum.
Soon the first graphes with a partial set of data.

Here are some provisional graphs that cover the first 2,5 hours of total exposures. We are waiting for the end of the current observations to process everything (dawn starts in 2 hours in Chile)
Le full spectrum with 8 exposures of 1200s each.
Balmer's lines graph velocity (H Alpha, H Beta, H Gamma and H Delta)
And H&K calcium lines

We process all our data (16 spectra of 1200s each) and separated in 2 groups of 8 spectra.
Here's the evolution in 3 hours
