Lowspec3 additions

Post by Tony Rodda »

Just a quickie to show the most recent incarnation.

A commercial 55mm lens in place of the 'standard' 30mm diameter doublet. (Upper and lower covers removed for clarity).

Much better end-to-end focusing across the visible range. This looks to be a marked improvement.

Look how much space it frees up inside the body of the spectrograph and underneath the body for additional automation fixtures. The new SAS developed calibration 'injector' & lamp controls, focusers, grating motor, etc can now be added.

Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,
Congratulations for your spectrograph, the bridge or box for the Nikon and the ATIK CCD it is similar than I use in the NOU_T echelle.

Have you tested this instrument ? Can you show us some results, if you want ?

Be able to you more specific about it design and optical parts, please ? Many thanks.

Cheers, Joan.
