Hello,
You can see Nova Cas 2020 through the SC16" and the NOU_T echelle with one ATIK460EX.
Cheers, J. Guarro.

Re: Nova in Cassiopea (nova Cas 2020)
Hello all,
Here is my new update for the nova Cas 2020 with the following spectrum obtained the 6th of September at 21 h 38 TU with my Alpy 600 (resolution of 514, JJ = 2459099.4016) and an acquisition time of 70 min :
The relative intensities of the Balmer lines continue to increase and more particularly that of the Halpha line. Those of [OI] lines at 6300A and 6364A have clearly increased since August 25. The lines of FeII remain evident.
Evolution of the Halpha line : Evolution of the [OI] line : Clear skies !

Re: Nova in Cassiopea (nova Cas 2020)
Good coverage of this faint nova with peculiar light curve. Congratulations!

See also, e.g., Nova Sct 2017: Interesting [OI] profile in Christian's spectrum:
with a narrow component (~30 km/s) at the rest wavelength
while the whole line have a FWHM ~ 570 km/s, slightly displaced to shorter wavelengths by ~ 55 km/s
Comparison with Joan's spectrum: Let's go on the good work!

Re: Nova in Cassiopea (nova Cas 2020)
This spectrum of the nova recorded on 8th Sept with a LISA and C11 shows a strong broad emission line centred on 7115 A which I cannot identify in the list of nova emission lines in Williams AJ 144 (2012). Also, is my identification of the broad C II line at 7235 A correct?

Re: Nova in Cassiopea (nova Cas 2020)
Quick update, for those who can follow O I 7772 or 8446:
The Ca II IRT region (9 x 1800 sec): O I 8446 has doubled its height and EW ratio compared to Ca II IRT, and widened.
Having more spectra on the process queue, related to previous 2 comments...

O I 7772 has lost its P-Cyg profile (always there from the beginning, at a similar magnitude). The Ca II IRT region (9 x 1800 sec): O I 8446 has doubled its height and EW ratio compared to Ca II IRT, and widened.
