HI all,
for coordination, tonight I am observing the brightest of the southerly targets Ly Mus, XX Oph so far this evening, and may possibly get HD161213 and HD330993 if conditions remain good.
Cheers,
Hamish

I observed all of the my list above, except HD330993, at R circa 600 and should be good signal to noise.

Hello all,
Here is my contribution to this new update of the symbiotic stars classification program.
I obtained the following spectrum of Hu 2-1 the 27th of August at 22 h 30 TU with my Alpy 600 (resolution of 535, JJ = 2459819.4379) and an acquisition time of 40 min (8 x 300s) :

Hu 2-1 is identified as a planetary nebula in the Simbad database.
The suggested identification of the lines below seems to confirm this.

Clear skies,

Hello all,
Here is my new contribution to this classification program with DT Psc, a very bright target, which is identified as a symbiotic star in the Simbad database.
I obtained the following spectrum of DT Psc the 28th of August at 0 h 56 TU with my Alpy 600 (resolution of 541, JJ = 2459819.539) and an acquisition time of 30 min (15 x 120s) :

No balmer lines are visible in emission in the spectrum.
Clear skies,
