Yes, they probably would be. I think I was only doing 60s exposures. But I still think that the result indicates that it's OK, since there isn't a UV source even remotely at the level of the heat lamp in my observatory (I also remote control it from my house, so there isn't usually a human in the observatory during data acquisition). The only warm IR sources would possibly be motors, but only the RA motor, the fans on the back of the telescope, and the cooling fan on the camera are going constantly.
The heat blown out of the camera by the cooling fan would be the most likely thing to cause an issue I suspect, although the direction of the flow is away from the spectrograph. But again, given the power specs on the camera, it won't be anything like the intensity of a 275 watt lamp. So I'm not too worried about it. I think for most purposes in a dark and cold observatory nylon 12 is probably OK.
