More infos about the use of only internal neon LISA lamp for spectral calibration:

Hello Christian,

This answer doesn't tell us why internal Neon can't lead to a well formed calibration, even if blue Argon liens are used (assumed that they are well identified).
Moreover, an 0.85 RMS on calibration spectrum doesn't allways lead to well calibrated star spectrum.
Even with a 0.3 RMS on calibration spectrum (see http://bmauclaire.free.fr/astronomie/sp ... ces/calbr/), Hbeta and Hdelta lines are still 10 A shifted (best case).
So, why internal Neon couldn't be used for spectrum calibration in low resolution?
