Hi Olivier,
It seems to be working ok. It is a windows wmv video file. you have to click on the image to run it. On my computer it opens and runs in windows media player Have you tried right clicking on the image and saving the file and then running it?
Cheers

Re: Jupiter spectroscopy: polar arc observation
Hi Christian,
Is it an optical illusion or is the imaging camera at an angle?

animation of epsilon Aurigae K I 7699A line
As part of a presentation on eps Aur at a BAA VSS meeting yesterday, I showed an animation of the evolution of the K I 7699A line through the eclipse. It compresses 2.5 years and 235 observations into 11 seconds and generated quite a bit of interest so I have added it to the page on eps Aur on my we...

Re: eps Aur's PI
"Dr Bob" Robert Stencel, University of Denver is the professional contact for anything connected with eps Aur. It is not a formal campaign though so it does not have a PI. He just encourages observations and advises observers. He can be found with other professionals and amateurs intereste...

Vspec bug when exporting as png or jpg

The bmp option works fine but if I try to save to a different folder than the current one, I get the file selection window which appears over the top of the spectrum printed instead of the spectrum. "Latest posts" list ?
As well as separate sections, the VdS forum has a list of the latest threads on the front page regardless of the section they are in. http://spektroskopieforum.vdsastro.de/ I find this is useful to keep up to date will all posts without having to go to each section in turn. (This is similar to the n...

Reading the forum in English
A tip for non Francophones who would like to read the French posts. You can use Google to automatically translate everything into English. I have made a direct link here http://tinyurl.com/spectro-aras-eng I have not tried it but I expect it could be made to work the other way as well, translating e...
