spectral library of 1000 stars at 2.5A resolution

Has anyone used the MILES catalogue of flux calibrated spectra?

It looks quite udeful for medium resolution work as it contains almost 1000 stars at 2.5 A resolution but I cannot get VSpec or ISIS to read the fits files. (SPLAT will plot it against pixel number but does not give the wavelength)

***IMPORTANT NOTE***

The default spectra in the MILES library are corrected for interstellar extinction so cannot be used for Instrument response correction. The original as observed MILES spectra must be used. See

Excellent Robin, very useful data base (ideal for LISA spectrograph, but can be also used for RI evaluation of Lhires III spectra) !
