Yes Stephane use a Newton telescope but with an eShel spectrograph, just the injection unit is present on the telescope so that the weight is not very important and mechanical flexion doesn't affect the spectrum (the spectrograph is on a table and very stable)

My little contribution of the Nova Sct monitoring : 10x300s with an Alpy600 spectrograph on Newtonian 250 mm F/4 telescope. I think that the instrumental response and so the continuum is not really good.
The reference star was HD169033 (B5V) to get a nearly similar airmass at the middle of the Nova exposure time. The nova was taken only between 28 and 23 degrees above the horizon ; I've not chosen Gam Sct (A1IV/V) for this reason. I don't know if I've made the right choice.

Here is a low altitude LISA spectra of Nova Sct 2018, taken 2 weeks ago, from my 2500 meter elevation/dark-sky site (Mt. Pinos, CA):

Although dim (<14 Vmag) strong OIII lines are present showing nice protoplanetary development of the star's outer shell and hits of older (CIII?)
material "lighting-up."
