NEW NOU_T ECHELLE RESULTS

Hello,


I show here four new graphics, the use of a SOLUX 4700K lamp has improved the results, I think the graphics are better now.

The other hand, in few months, two new NOU_T will be see their first starlight, one of them is for Santa Maria de Montmagastrell REMOT Telescope
and the other one is for the telescope of one member of this Forum. We hope that all will be right.

Step by step, the NOU_T echelle is going to win some Orders and consolidate old ones.
The Solux lamp helped achieve this job. We will be able to see what passes in the sky tests.

You know that the best results of one set are as good as the more bad of their components.

There are things to improve yet.

Hi,

You can see here 4 NOU_T star graphics in the same night using the Solux 4700K Lamp and their possibility with one ATIK460EX with binning 2x2.

The P Cyg has short exposures due to strong emission H alpha and H beta lines,  the result is a notable noise in its blue.

I think that it is possible to improve the graphics yet, we can hope to see the two NOU_T results in the next future, but also it is possible that the worst element there is the ATIK camera now..

Bonjour François,

You know that I have finished other two NOU_T mechanical parts before last Christmas. Well, I sent one of them to the observer who was ask for one , on this passed 21st December, unfortunately we had have problems with the delivery agency, finaly  I  claimed the parcel and it has arrived at home this last Tuesday after 36 days ! All this time we both were very scared about the package being lost. 


In the meantime I made the B plan, in other words, I worked to finish another third NOU_T for sent to the observer.., fortunately that hasn't been necessary, because, finaly today  I have sent the parcel to the observer again, but by traditional post this time. 

I hope that the observer will be able to introduce to himself when he has the first results. So I have now another almost finished NOU_T echelle for if there is someone who want it.

These last days I also mounted, tested and observed with the second NOU_T.  I have sent you some observations made with it like the Nova Per 2020, but I didn't show here any one, for consideration towards our observer, I can't go here glad showing results while we had a serious problem..

What is the situation now ? Well, I have some observations that to send you. I can only observe with the Piera telescope and the first NOU_T, the second one is waiting for when I will be able to go to Santa Maria de Montmagastrell to put the second NOU_T in  the telescope. But we are in lockdown here and I can't take these 70 Km.

The second NOU_T for SMM has an advantage over the Piera one,  because it has UV-Enhanced mirrors, ( see the graphic ), if you have in mind the CCD spectral response you can note that is the reason because the second NOU_T is better in the infrared. I will change the mirrors of the first one.

It has passed me sometimes that, you have one thing opposite at your nose for a long time and you never have see it. Well, I have realized that I can improve the Alan Gee Mark II Telecompressor position, after a lot of time, I achieve  a F=5.6, the NOU_T can works very well on this relation, it gain  about 35% more brightness. I can apply it at SMM telescope.

At "Observatori de Piera" I have changed the mirrors of the NOU_T echelle for another UV-Enhanced aluminium ones,also I have mounted the same mirrors in other NOU_T for  the " Remot Observatori de Santa Maria de Montmagastrell". ( RSMM).

Despite the bad weather I have been able to start to test these two echelles, and using  these new mirrors the improvementis notorious. I leave here some results.

You still use the 85mm lens here, how does the camera handle a longer lens?
