We have at our disposal in remote and 100% automatic :
- a 300mm Newton open at f/4 with an ALPY 600 for very weak targets in low resolution.
- A 12 inch RC open at f/8 with an eShel spectro for high resolution at R=11000 for targets up to mag. V=9.
We may also have a UVEX spectro but that will require a different mount. (to go far in near UV or near IR and to have a complete remote setup)
After several tests on several spectrographs, we have chosen 3 spectrographs for their high mechanical and thermal stability and their mechanical reliability:
- Alpy 600
- UVEX
- eShel

the eShel spectrograph is enclosed in a box at the foot of the telescope and connected to the telescope by optical fiber.

We are currently in a final phase of adjustments before producing our very first eshel spectrum from Chile.
And as a reminder, 2SPOT is a non-profit organisation recognised as being of general scientific interest.
We have the support of many observatories and research institutes around the world.
