Problem with ARASBeAm

Post by Terry Bohlsen »

Dear All
I'm having a problem with the Be list in ARASBeAm. http://arasbeam.free.fr/spip.php?page=b ... st&lang=en
In the past I have been using the list to coordinate what stars I will image. It was showing the stars that I had already taken images from but seems to have stopped doing so.
If I select mag 12. max dec -40 min dec -90 and Ha it use to give me a long list of stars with colour coding to tell which ones need spectra including all of my spectra. Since most of the southern dim stars have only been imaged by me, it was easy to tell which ones still need observing.
Now when I do this, none of my spectra show up. If I choose wavelenght 6000 then they do show up but without the colour coding. All of the spectra include Ha so I'm not sure why they don't when I select Ha.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Dear Terry,
i have just did the test and see the problem. Only bright southern stars have spectra in arasBeam and when i consult Bess who is linked with Arasbeam only three of your spectra are available. I know it can't be right.
Please report to webmaster.BeSS@obspm.fr

Cheers

Hi all,

Sorry for my late reaction here - I didn't see the post.
This is now solved. It was my fault (:<). We're currently working on some evolutions of BeSS, and I've made some modifications on ArasBeAm which should have been transparent... sorry for the confusion !

Friendly,

François
