Thanks for the very useful link Martin.

I see from there that my choice of wavelength (5556A) for the flux of the standard A0v star Vega (which is used to convert the Vmag to flux for comparison with the weighted mean of the target spectrum) is not ideal. A better value would be the flux at the wavelength which bisects the area under the Vmag Bessel filter curve (5450A) which is the value you quote from the reference. This only makes a small difference of ~3% but it happens (by luck really) to be in the right direction to correct the small mean error in my calculations of absolute flux relative to Christian's (I do not believe there is a need to compensate explicitly for the emission lines as they are already included in the Vmag passband weighted mean)

Sauf erreur de ma part, ça continue de monter relativement au continuum ; comparaison sur un peu plus d'une semaine environ.
Toujours aussi spectaculaire !

Région H beta de la nuit du 10 avec le lhires 2400 + C11 et caméra QSI 683ws en binning 2x2 (temps de pose 3623s).
Le ciel était correct en début de soirée, mais s'est peu à peu couvert de nuages pour être complètement bouché vers 1h du matin.

La calibration avec le néon (poses poussées à 60s pour faire apparaître les raies dans cette région h beta et identification des raies avec VisualSpec) semble correcte, mais la résolution s'est pas mal effondrée (8860) ; on est loin des 15000 en h alpha...
À l'inspection des raies du néon, je trouve un FWHMX d'environ 3.
Quelle peut en être la raison ?

En ce qui concerne l'évolution au cours du temps, elle semble nettement plus faible que pour la raie H alpha.

A flux calibrated Alpy spectrum, 14.8 / 09 / 2013) (VIS + IR exposures).

Pour la date et à partir de ce spectre on déduit les magnitudes :

B = 7.630
V = 7.542
R = 6.253

I have just finished up with participation in this summer's WR campaign - I have a C14+LHiRes. Clear skies tonight. What spectral range should I concentrate on? I'm assuming there will be lots of people at H-alpha, but maybe being a bit further west of Europe (where it seems most of the observers are) is useful? Fe lines? Going out to the observatory in a few minutes - I know this is sort of last minute. Suggestions welcome!

Une petite comparaison entre les spectres aux alentours des raies CaII H&K.
Quand bien même le signal dans le spectre du 20130915.799 soit faible du fait d'un fin voile nuageux et d'une mise au point perfectible, on note un net changements dans la raie en émission vers 3935 angström ; elle a baissé de manière importante et devient presque au niveau du continuum.
D'autre part, il semblerait que quelque chose se passe aux alentour de 4050 ; on voit un léger passage en émission alors que sur le spectre 20130903.825, la zone était plate.

Bien sûr, tout ceci reste à confirmer par les spectres à venir.

Here is a picture showing the spectras around CaII H & K.
Even though the signal in of 20130915.799 is weak due to a thin veil of clouds and a not perfectly focused setup, one can see a net change in the emission line to 3935 angstrom, that has significantly declined and is right now around the continuum level.
On the other hand, it seems that something is going on around 4050, we see a slight shift in emission while the 20130903,825 spectrum, the area was flat.

More spectras are needed to verify this
