I see from there that my choice of wavelength (5556A) for the flux of the standard A0v star Vega (which is used to convert the Vmag to flux for comparison with the weighted mean of the target spectrum) is not ideal. A better value would be the flux at the wavelength which bisects the area under the Vmag Bessel filter curve (5450A) which is the value you quote from the reference. This only makes a small difference of ~3% but it happens (by luck really) to be in the right direction to correct the small mean error in my calculations of absolute flux relative to Christian's
