First Be outburts of 2012 for franck Houpert !
http://arasbeam.free.fr/spip.php?page=b ... etoile=169
Last outburts was seen, in 2009 by Joan Guarro and last for one month after discover. This star was known to have an activity period of 12 years. So something change.
More observations are needed to cover the entire phase.

Re: Outburst of Lambda eridani
Some new spectra of Lambda Eri (intense activity detected by Franck Houpert).
LISA spectra with C11 telescope used at F/10 and 19 microns slit (resolsution= 1200 - 16 x 50 sec. exposure - Atik314L+) :

The continuum is normalised to unity. A detail of the same spectral profile:
The outburst is easy to detect with LISA spectrograph (the configuration, narrow slit + f/10 telescope, optimize
spectral resolution, but signal to noise ratio is also decent).
Now a high resolution Lambda Eri spectrum (R=16000) taken with a LHIRES III 2400 l/mm
equiped also with a 19 microns slit on a C11 telescope at F/10 (8 x 300 sec. exposure) and Atik314L+ camera:

Again, the goal is spectral resolution.
A version with telluric lines removed (ISIS) for more clarity and astrophysics interpretation:

Un essai le 01/02/2012 avec LISA fente de 23 mcm
On voit qu'il est bien difficile de déterminer où se situe le continuum
