Here is a somewhat difficult spectrum to acquire (from the city), the 11.5 V magnitude spectrum of KIC8462852 in Cygnus:
Image
Shot 10x90 sec exposures with CDK17 reflector at F/6.8 with Atik 460ex CCD. Processed in Isis and plotted in BaSS 1.96. I used nearby HD181096, a F6IV miles star, to process my instrument response. Two very prominent Hg lines are shown; bad light pollution looking east towards highly populated San Gabriel Valley. Seems like a normal F3V spectrum with the exception of a very wide and deep H-beta absorption feature.

Nice spectrum of a fascinating star James.
Now it would be nice to catch a spectrum during a photometric dip 8-)

Thanks JP & Joan!
I will shoot this object from my dark sky, high altitude site (2500m) this summer
to get better SNR and eliminate those Hg lines which I get on LISA spectra taken in LA.

Tabetha Boyajian twitted 3 hours ago that the star is dipping right now.
