Help Realigning Lhires III
After weeks of trying I have the resolution back where it belong , but the spectrum is almost at the very bottom of image. As you can see from the attached it does not line up well with the calibration lines. Camera is an Atik 460 EX.
The picture seems to be cropped , but there are 3 neon lines and the spectrum is on the red line.
Thanks Al

Re: Help Realigning Lhires III
Dear Albert.
I think your spectra is croped because the calibration lamp is not exactly in front of the slit.
On the LHIRES I use, the lamp sometimes does not stay fixed in front of the slit (the button used to position the lamp is slightly defective).
As a result, I obtain neon spectra similar to the one you get.
To obtain a correct neon spectrum, I have to hold the neon positionning button by hand during the acquisition, to keep it exactly in front of the slit.
Below is a spectra with the neon not perfectly in front of the slit (left image) and the correct spectra when I hold the positionning button with my hand (right image).
I hope this will help you.
Best regards,
Ibrahima.
