SN2017eaw is a year old and has faded to Vmag 18
https://sites.google.com/view/sn2017eaw/sn2017-eaw
It is still measurable with the ALPY 200 though (My faintest spectrum so far) and shows some nice forbidden lines now it is in the nebular phase.
The spectrum still shows a good match to IIP supernova SN2004et at the same age which exploded in the same galaxy (ngc6946)
Cheers
Robin

Very impressive result on such a faint object.
Did you filter the spectrum?
Cheers,
François

Hi Francois,
Yes The spectrum is slightly oversampled so I filtered it a bit to help the classification. It dropped the resolving power from 130 to ~90 so I probably overdid it a bit. The resolution is still high enough on these broad line spectra though.
Skies do not get completely dark here at this time of year so I was limited to 2 hours exposure and there was a first quarter moon so conditions were not perfect. I might be able to follow it a bit further yet.
Cheers

To: Robin,
Thanks for the update! I will continue my photometry of this object for the next couple of weeks.....lucky my C-11 can just reach this in for IVB photometry!
I will also take this from my dark/high altitude site next week where I should easily get to this magnitude range.
James
p.s. I'm giving a talk at SAS on 16Jun18 and one of the slides I use is an animation for 4 months of LISA data and I'll mention your continued spectral observation.
